My dearest friend, Kacey, has it coming....oh yah...it's her turn to have a baby! I just know she's gonna be such a great mom. When we were in high school, she's the one who wanted to be "barefoot and pregnant" when she grew up. At that young age, I could never understand why her ultimate desire in life was to raise children. Until I had two of my own....(at the same time)...but it's more than just raising children, as any mother or father knows. It's the "being a parent" part that's so desirable. It's the bond you create, the sense of unconditional love. That's what is so delicious. It's knowing that you've created a living being that you are going to have the chance to spend your lifetime with and it's the closest extension of yourself that you can reach out and hug and cuddle and see with your own eyes.
Little miss Emily hasn't quite made her debut into the real world yet, but it will come soon. Sooner than we know and like a flash, she'll be here, for us all to wish our best hopes, to hope she follows her dreams, and do everything we can to prepare her to choose the right paths in life so we can see her succeed and see her be happy. Unconditional love. I am so happy for Kacey and Shane because Emily is such an amazing and special gift.
Kacey and Shane are so lucky to have each other to experience this life-changing journey they've begun. Congratulations my friends :)
