You know that Alanis Morissette song where she sings "It's like rain on your wedding day"? Well, I guess this day was ironic because it rained on Michelle and Mat's wedding day. The day started out sunny - a beautiful sky. But by the end of dinner, it was raining, and by 10:00 at night there was snow on the ground! And even though the weather had been the biggest worry of the day, Michelle and Mat did not seem bothered by it one bit. They were cool, calm, and collected throughout the day--many of us were impressed. Their wedding day was going to happen regardless, and their unity was all that mattered.
I thought it was great that their families participated and contributed in so many ways. Michelle's brother, Brian, was deputized for the day in order to be the "officiant" and marry them. Mat's brother, Jerry" was his best man. Mat's sister Katy, made the amazing and delicious cake. Michelle's mother, Maryann, played a huge role in planning the wedding AND saved her wedding gown from 1980, which Michelle graciously wore for her wedding day. And she wore it SO well--she was absolutely stunning!
Because Michelle and Mat were able to enjoy their entire day, each other, and their family and friends, I was able to enjoy watching and capturing their moments as they happened in front of me. Thank you! And a special thanks to Wes for being the second shooter and capturing some really great moments for the couple!
Now, here's a few of my favorite shots from the day! To see more images from their wedding day, check back soon when I will announce when the wedding photos are available to view on the website! Enjoy!
